Anyone any stories about their leaving day.

I once worked in a call centre sweat shop, and on my last day I answered all my calls with goodbye and hung up on the caller, think I got through about 200 people, I was very popular with my team when I left.

Not exactly on leaving day but the day before.

Backround to this was my bosses PA was asked to orgainise a dinner on my last night. We never got on as I was more senior to her and she has a hugh problem with this. A usual conversation was she would ring and tell me my boss wanted the X file. I'd go well I don't have that file and she go well the boss wants it first thing in the morning, thinking I would drop what I was doing and look for the missing file. I'd then talk to her like she was 5 and tell when the boss asked her to find something that meant she had to find it not me. She used to then bitch about me for the rest of the week.

The PA orgainised dinner in a chinese knowing full well that I don't like chinese food. She rang me the day before to confirm the venue and I went sure you know I don't eat chinese. She snapped well its orgainised now nothing I can do about it.

I replied fine so but I won't be going.

She has to find another venue for 20 people on a friday night - she managed it but had to come into work on saturday to catch up with her work.:D

On my last day (hopefully it'l be soon). Im goin to tell someone i work with just how much of a cow she really is and hopefully il put her crying. Just like she did to me 2 years ago. I never spoke to her since then, so i guess she knows already but im going to say it in words and really give it to her.

I don't mean to sound like your dad, but burning bridges is a really bad idea...
