Moodle & LDAP - is it difficult?

How hard is Moodle to configure with LDAP server? Does it take long?

Thinking about implementing it in my secondary school over the summer for a laptop savings scheme that we are running, and just wondering, does it take long to set up, or what challenges will I face?

I have a fairly good knowledge of Moodle, but very little knowledge of LDAP, and even less knowledge of putting the two of them together.

Moodle is one damn fine product, been using it now for a while and we are putting together LADP autentication.

If you run into any issues get back to me and we can compare notes.

I saw that, only understood the basics of it, as I'm not LDAP competent as of yet. It's looks pretty simple, but it does look like it's very hard to configure perfectly. Yikes!

Indeed, A perfect example of quality open source software.

Thanks for the offer Godot666, much appreciated. Just out of curiousity more than anything else, what environment are you implementing the software into? is it second/third level education, online course software, or for a workplace?

    Thanks,
    Nev
