    Hey,
Firstly I will apologize in advance because I'm not too sure if this thread is in the right place.

Anyways straight to the point. I'm 15 and want to go visit a friend in Scotland this June. I have my parents consent but we aren't experienced travellers. Because of my age will I have to make special arrangements with the airline to travel alone? Or is this only for young children?. How would I go about doing this if I do need to make arrangements with the airline?

Also neither of my parents own a credit card so we can't book flights online. I'm just wondering can we do this through a travel agents? I'm not looking for a package holiday or anything though. No accomadation will be needed just the flights. And if it is possible to buy just plane tickets through a travel agents would it be much more expensive than if we were to book them online?

    Thanks in advance.
    -Naomi.

This is a bit confusing, but it looks as if a 15yearold is an 'unaccompnied minor' and your parents will need to fill in a form.

Payment options - for Aerlingus a debit card can also be used for booking.

and as far as I know you can also book an AerLingus flight in a Travel Agency, expect to pay a premium of about €50 on top of the online price.

Ryanair childrens policy may be different so you should maybe have a look at their website (though you will definitely not be able to book a flight in a Travel Agents for ryanair).

The Larne to Stranrear ferry might be an option for you as well ?
