I really must say that was a waste of time. 5 minutes talking and mostly about his McDonalds film.

    Can't stand that idiot.

Choosing McD's as a catalyst in making a name for himself. Everyone and their dog knows it's unhealthy and who in their right mind would eat it all day everday anyway?!

He could've made the same movie about McVitties!

Hes a bit too populist a documentarian. His 'stunts' are really just for humour / media value: I wouldn't go to see his films for valuable social commentary. Super Size Me is entertaining, but was certainly not the best way to make the point... eating anything for that amount of time can only cause problems. His new film got fairly slated so don't know if I'll bother going to see it...

He's an Entertaining movie maker and I'll defo be going to see WITWIOBL this week.

His movies may be populist but I'll certainly feel better handing my money over to him rather than the makers of IronMan Part 1 or Teeth Part 1 for example.

    Why?

Movies are made for purely (in most cases and that's how it started off) for entertainment value. But I guess it's what interests you (people) so..whatever, each to their own.

Here's s few reviews of his latest anyway.

He has a TV show called '30 Days' (inspired by Supersize Me). He has done things more worthy than eating McDonalds, like living on minimum wage, living with Muslims in America, etc.

Series 3 of '30 Days' is starting in a few weeks, and is worth checking out (30 days in a wheelchair sounds like it will be very interesting...)

Not to go too far off topic, but I think people should realise that McDonalds is not just one type of food, but many. The full list is here, but there are salads, mcnuggets, hamburgers, fish burgers, chicken burgers and each with cooking variations (with/without cheese, grilled, with dressing etc). Not to mention the different breakfasts you can get (eggs, sausages, bacon egg and cheese biscuit(?), ham egg and cheese bagels etc). The Mcdonalds menu has a fair amount of variation and while stretching it out to 30 days without eating the same things at least two or three is probably impossible, I don't think its quite the same as someone sitting down and eating Mcvitties breakfast lunch and dinner for 30 days.

Also I saw Where in The World.. at the weekend and thought it was brilliant. He uses humour very effectively and makes some very good (although pretty obvious points imo) points about the actual source of the fundamentalist problems in foreign countries like Egypt, Pakistan and Afghanistan.
(Anyone actually stupid enough to think he is serious in trying to find Bin Laden probably went to see "The Never Ending Story" expecting never to leave the cinema)

I saw him being interviewed on Channel 6 last night.

He used the phrase "Here in the UK" in relation to Ireland... cheeky fecker... I wonder if he was more careful in his language while filming in the West Bank.
