Saw some greyhound racing tonight on 1W from Curraheen track. Channel name is coming up as "VITEL CORK" if scanned ATM. Same details (below) scanned as "VITEL DUBLIN" a week or so ago (Shelbourne Park IIRC), so it's probably a regular spot for broadcasting these meets to whereever the signal is intended.

    Details: 11502 V 3250

Might be of interest to some peeps on this board. A google search shows Vitel as a mobile uplink unit based in Ireland.

Anyone else see any feeds close to home? Feeds I usually get to see are usually non-intertesting with very little happening or over.

Although I haven't checked recently, greyhound racing from Harold's Cross has been on 11498 V 3200 (1 west), on previous occasions.

You often see tg4 sunday GAA feeds on 1w

Thanks for that link Brian, hadn't seen that page before.

The problem with feeds is that they're usually short-lived and probably nearly gone before they get posted there, but at least it gives a good idea of what might be available, and the best sats to scan based on the frequency they get mentioned there.

A bit early for the GAA feeds, but I'll keep a look out on 1W for them during the season. Probably via the same uplink company that does the dogs using 1W for their service.

    Thanks both.

I'm getting 1W ok with an old 60cm Sky dish sitting in a bucket atm, but signal breaks up in really heavy rain/clouds. It's more reliable with an 80cm, but advise would be greater than 80cm for reliable quality.

cheers might get up on ladder see if i can pick it up, by any chance do you remember if u had to move the dish up or down from where the sky fella installed it to pick up the satellite 1w

Presuming it's pointing at 28E, it needs to point higher, and as you stand behind the dish, swung to the right so that it's pointing almost due south.

Not sure you'd get it with a Digibox, you'll probably need a FTA STB to get any feeds from here.
