Right I'm going down for the June bank holiday weekend to run the marathon, so my mum, my friend and her mum are coming with me so we need something to do on Saturday night and for sunday. I'll be doing race number collection on the saturday and hopefully buying loads of crap I don't need at the expo so we need things to do the rest of the time. :D

    Help much appreciated.

Depends what ye are into. That weekend theres the Ocean to city rowing race on off the top of my head. You could go check out blackrock castle and observatory with a farmers market down the road with views of the race. Consider a visit to kinsale, old head of kinsale, clonakilty and galley head as a nice day trip or perhaps cobh/fota or go kiss the blarney stone. Plenty to do so enjoy. If ye decide to come down for the friday night id recomend going to the swing jazz night called doubletime above the spailpin fanacht.

Doing a part of the marathon with a relay team myself, its going to be a struggle. My ability to swim till the cows come home doesnt appear to be transferring so well to the old running. Best of luck.
