The dream effect pedal setup for me would be like this:

    1. Keeley Compressor (4 knob version)
    2. Area 51 Wah drop in mod in Crybaby pedal
    3. Voodoo Lab Proctavia
    4. Keeley Fuzz Head
    5. TC Electronic VPD1 Vintage Pre Drive Pedal
    6. Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive
    7. Boss DS-1 with Keeley Ultra Mod
    8. Angloman Chorus
    9. Red Witch Moon Phaser
    10.Voodoo Lab Micro Vibe
    11.MXR EVH Flanger
    12.TC Electronic Nova Delay

Or maybe the TC Electronic G System @ €1399

    Can some add some changes/suggestions?

While buying pedals, expensive ones in particular, is a fun part of the guitar hobby, sometimes I question the need to spend so much time and money on your guitar tone. When you're gigging for example, aside from a very small group of enthusiasts, I doubt that anyone will ever notice that your delay pedal is true bypass, let alone care about it.

Personally, I have a pod xt live and, while I don't think it's tones are fabulous, I feel reassured knowing that I didn't pay more for a chorus pedal that I would use just as much (or little).

    In conclusion: meh.

    suggestions?

Buy what you need, buy what you'll actually use. Bear in mind if you're ever considering gigging you're adding over 20 more things that can go wrong on you (including connecting cables) in your signal chain and if something's going to go wrong it will happen on a stage :pac:

Have you actually heard all those effects?

Not a big fan of massive pedal boards here. A couple of pedals = :), but when you're ending up with a massive board with every different kind of effect....just a lot of hassle, tone-suck, things to go wrong etc.

Personally, i'd throw the basics up front (wah, overdrive) and put a good processor in the loop to take care of the delays and chorus's etc. If it's some sort of 'dream setup' type question, i'd probably go for an Eventide Eclipse in the loop. But im happy enough with the G-major, apart from the rubbish knobs :(

Some quite unique pedals here, for your consideration.

Most of those have true bypass signals, that's one of a few reasons why they are fricken dear.

I looked at reviews for the G-major and had thought about it for a while.
The reliablity with that is not getting great reviews.......freezes up at times.

True-bypass isn't necessarily better than a good buffer tbh. Theres some good links on the difference, but you pretty much need some buffered pedals in your signal chain or all your true-bypass ones will be like adding an extra long cable to the setup i.e. major tone-suck.

True bypass is only a DPDT or 3PDT switch - about €10 worth
