cheapest way to get to Ios(Greece)

    does anyone know the cheapest or easiest way to get to Ios(Greece)?

    there is no airport on the island but the nearest one is on Santorini.

    what is the best route to take and with who?

    I think people tend to fly to Athens and get a boat over

    Possibly the best place ever!!! was there last year for two weeks of my 6 week island hopping holiday. Your best bet would be to fly to athens and then make your way down by boat. It's hit and miss with the boats there sometimes, my mate paid 30euro and took an hour or so to get down we paid 7euro and it took 7 hours from paros which is close to ios i think we stopped off on around 10 islands before we got to ios.Your better off paying the a bit extra try to get the vodafone boats if you can there the quickest.

    You'll have to fly into Santorini or Athens and go to the ports from there. Expect to pay between €30 and €60 for a boat. Once u get to Ios u will find loads of people at the port selling accomodation. While thats the handiest way to get it, especially if u arrive late and just want to crash, then go for it, but Id suggest shopping around. Get the bus up to the town and walk into places and ask. You'll pay a bit more for aircon.

    After that, enjoy!! Check out the fun pub and far out. Theyre both good spots for some fun places to drink and meet peopel during the day. U wont have any problem finding the fun at night!
