What startling record do the Blades (1993) and Man City (2004) share?

Hint: The Canaries hold the opposite record

Earliest promotion to the top flight?

ie. least games played before being promoted

Man city where in the league in '04 so dont think its promotion.

Fewest home wins? More away wins than home wins?

Maybe they won less than a relegated team, and norwich have won more than a team that stayed up.

    or

City and utd scored less than a relegated team and Norwich scored more?

Goal Diff maybe? Would have been an apt question with united chelsea :D

I remember Norwich being top at Christmas with a minus goal difference.

Is it something to do with highest finish with a minus goal difference/lowest finish with a plus goal difference.

Yep. Well done. Norwich finished 3rd with -1 and City and Sheffield United have finished 16th with +1. All 3 must have had some crazy results for those kind of stats to happen.

Good question Javaboy. Keep 'em coming. I like taking random stabs in the dark :)
