Television Awards 2008 - Phase 2b Finished (Updated 04/06)

Time for another round of TV Awards.

I think that the end of season is a better time than mid-season, as voting is based on the full output from a show, not just to the mid-season point.

I'm going to shamelessly steal basquille's Award Instructions from 2006.

Firstly, the base categories for this year remain the same as they were for the last TV Awards. A suggestion box is now open in this forum for suggesting new categories.

• Best New Character
• Best Cameo Role
• Best ‘Phowarr’ moment
• Best Programme
• Best Reality Show
• Best Kids Show
• Chat Show Of The Year
• Lifetime Achievement
• Best Documentary
• Best Drama
• Most Memorable Scene In A Show
• Biggest Shark Jumper
• Best Actor/Actress
• Best of the Best
• Best Character
• Character You Love To Hate Most
• Best TV Moment Of The 07/08 Season

If you however have a suggestion for a new category (or a general suggestion), pop it in the 'Suggestion Box / Comments' sticky at the top of the forum and if it's a reasonable request and not too far into the nominations category, i'll consider adding it.

The process for these awards is 4 step:

2. Nominations
3. Voting
4. Results

Details of each stage described below:

1. Category Suggestions

Now open. Please use the sticky in this forum to suggest categories for this years TV Awards.

2. Nominations

Begins: 17th May

Once nominations are open, you can put forward up to and no more than 3 nominations for each category in the nominations thread which will be popping up all over the forum next weekend.

On the closing date, everyone's nominations will be put together and the top 5 nominations in each category will be put up for the award to be voted for by yourselves.

2. Voting

Begins: 31st May 2008
Ends: 13th June 2008

A poll consisting on the top 5 nominated in each category will be put up and you can vote for one in each category. Will leave the thread open for comments but don't wanna see a long discussion. Simply a comment on your vote if you wish will do. And respect each others votes.. any personal insults or monkey business and you're OUT!

The thread will be closed on Friday 13th June and votes will be counted.

3. Results

Announced: 15th June 2008.

Votes will be counted and will be announced on Sunday June 15th.

This phase will run in 2 waves over the next Fortnight.

(If I add all categories at once, nobody will fill them all in!)
