This was put to me during the week and i just wanted to get some feedback on it. If this goes ahead it probably won't be until the end of June.

Teams of 2. with one player playing hold'em and the other player playing omaha. At the end of each level players on the same team swap over and play on the team mates stack.

    Good idea, Bad idea???

How about....(didnt explain myself properly )

    teams of 2 players (doubles)

i player plays a table of holdem the other plays a table of omaha

points awarded to top 3 on each table....players swap for next game and play omaha/hold..........tables redrawn etc etc......each player must play both types of games .....keeping it to a doubles format will keep it less complicated

kind of a horse team event without RSE....

    be something different anyweighss

Sounds good though im not sure there is much need of having a team of two, would it not be better a single player game with a round of each

here's one i would like to play, just in case you are in the mood for new ideas.

what about a round of dealers choice
list the games of choice and then you find the true Mr/Mrs/Ms Versatility, a true master of Poker

5 card stud (1 down 4 up)otherwise know as Cincinnati
    5 card draw
    holdem
    omaha
    7 card stud
5 card stud 1 down 4 up but no looking at the hole card
    low ball (5 card & 7 card)
    low ball 8 high
    high low
    Southern Cross

    to name but a few

    now comes the negative side
as you know well, there are many anomolies to the holdem rules, can you just imagine the disputes at this?

then you have to find dealers that know all the games...

if you get this going, count me IN for sure
you can even throw in a game of nearest the wall and i'm there

    over to you JP

    I like the idea.

The brother's a brilliant Omaha player whereas I've still got L plates so I can see some exciting "What happened to our stack?" exchanges.

Nice idea JP, I think this could be a runner

What happens when one of the team busts out?

ya it nees a bit more thought.

What is played at the FT?
    WHo plays the FT?
How do you get the figs into the figroll?

    Those kind of things

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,764 ✭✭✭DeadParrot

FT combine stacks, swap every level/orbit?
What does happen if player A gets knocked out
Does player b just keep swapping?

    Interested in this

When a player is el busto, the team just lose out on that game and they continue to swap in the other game.

when is it happening? It would be good during a festival rather than its own game I think.

Don't think it'll get the numbers JP..just going by entrants to your omaha game last week....

Not sure when Joes festival is on, but Im pretty sure when it is, he wont call it somethings its not.

make the final table a round of each, when the button passes the dealer change game and at the end of every blind level any team with one player "el Busto" changes at the end of every blind level, or designated time frame

BTW put me down for a team

    Mick
