A friend recently bought targa hdd (lidl ) and found it difficult to operate so brought it to me, I have a sky hd but i found with this when set up that all channels even rte1 were all upscaled to 1081 . My question is this should I return to sky+ (which I kept ) ditch th Sky HD (and the 15 euros ) and buy a similar box and get the same . In other words is it the same but cheaper
Would love to know your views or commnts on this.

Sky+ won't receive the HD channels.

If you can't see a difference between upscalled and actual HD it's because the TV is too small or not enough lines (768 instead of 1080) or the HD channel has an upscalled program (common on SkyHD).

The better HD channels don't have the same content as Sd versions (BBC HD).

The Sky HD will receive some FTA HD and still work as a Sky+ if you don't pay the HD suppliment. (Only loses HD pay channels).

    It's up to you really.
