ive just installed protools m-powered 7.4 and a fast track ultra and in my bidding to get everything to work ive somehow disabled all sound towards my monitors

ive checked everything and nothings muted or turned down.
i didnt install my soundcard but its something like realtek audio manager
and in control panel it says its working.

Maybe try music production forum for this one. I haven't used m-powered but I presume it's similiar to LE. I don't think Pro Tools will work with realtek audio drivers and hardware, but I'm not sure. Use the stereo outputs of fast track ultra to monitor from Pro Tools and use the realtek / your onboard soundcard for windows, media player, itunes etc...
    Go to control panel>sound>
See if your system can see the new hardware. If windows can see the fast track ultra then select it as your default output and play a song in media player. That should send audio directly out of the interface. If that works try monitoring in Pro Tools. If not it could be a routing problem in pro tools itself. Edit your routing options in the pro tools preferences window. Hope this helps.

Ah that might be it alright. Was gonna suggest that but I thought I'd sound mental. Dogs are great!
