Network Solutions - be careful when searching!

    Hi,

    The other day I used Network Solutions (netsol.com) to search for the availability of a domain name.

    It was available, but I never registered it at the time.

    Then the next day I tried to register it with another provider and it turns out Network Solutions registered it themselves! Now the only place I can buy it is direct from Network Solutions - and it's not cheap! Bad form I think for such a large registrar.

    Just be warned...

    I'm always wary of checking domains with large US hosts for your above reason
