my firewall keeps turning it self off help,

    every time i check it its swicthed of no i have avg running so not really that concerned but its strange why it keeps going off , when i turn it on again if i check it a few mins later its off again .

    When did it start happening? WHich is it... Windows Firewall, Comodo etc?
    MAybe try putting everything to default settings ? try a reinstall ?

    Stupid Question but, have you got two firewalls going?
    Hmmmmmmmm i'm sure some tech head will propose better questions and answers,

    lol im definatly not a tech head tiger king , well id say i have a fire wall running with avg i installed it this morning after i uninstalled macafee and low and behold this problem is no longer a problem firewall running with no problems , i just posted this thread this morning so it was all a bit rushed in a panic but i followd some advice ie get rid of macafee and in stall agv everything is running fine i also installed cclean registry and my system is running better than new.thanks for the input

    guys im having a similar problem. Now im a carpenter and know feck all about this technology so might find it hard to explain.
    Anyway just over the last two days when using the net this grey box flashes up ans says something along these lines "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close"
    guys if anyone can help id greatly appreciate it im about to loose the plot here:mad:

    Woody you should start a new thread rather than pinching someone elses, that error message you mention is very common, you can switch it off by going into my computer->properties->advanced tab -> error reporting button then disable error reporting.

    This message pops up whenever a windows app crashes and has to close, it may be caused by a variety of issues. Try using Firefox instead of IE.
