    Hi Donegalonians,

Thinking of going to Redcastle tomorrow with some kids. Would you recommend it?

    Thanks.

Yip. Been there a few times and the kids love it. Well they love anywhere that has loads of rides and dodgems anyhow. Its all indoor but if there are any of them over 12 theres not much to do.

Bring plenty of money with you as the place is full of slot machines.

AFAIK they open at 12 so to avoid a crowd its probably better to plan your journey so as you arrive around that time.

In saying all that waterworld in Bundoran can be just as entertaining. (and a lot closer for you)

    God, it sounds like hell!

Thanks Muffler, I thought it was an outdoor adventure place. I think we'll stick closer to home. (She doesn't need loads of money for a picnic in the forest!)

Unless it has changed in the last 2 years there is nothing at all outdoors for the kids unless they like to admire the view out over the Folye estuary and across to Derry. Nice Hotel right beside it and the drive up from Muff through Greencastle is lovely as the road runs parallel with the estuary.
