    Hi everyone,

I am currently a Senior in my workplace but would like to pick up a course to become Team Leader and differenciate me from the rest of the candidates when I eventually go for it.

Anyone give me pointers as to what course I could do?

    Cheers

    Rocky

IMI Certification in Front Level Management looks good

talk to other team leaders , ask them what they find interesting and what difficulties they sometimes face
ask your team leader for tasks to do
    try to coach people

use this all in the interview

    job promotion

am a little confused.....you don;t mention the type of work you are in - different companies in the same industry will have different opinions about what constitutes 'team leader' in terms of qualifications and experience...how anyone can be suggesting a certain course that will help you without even knowing the industry you are in you bemuses me.....my suggestion will be similar to wook - to speak to other team leaders / or those that are in charge of the team leaders and simply ask them questions about how you can improve suitability. I wouldn;t rush off and just do a course suggested here on boards - find out from people within your company what will help your chances.

    best of luck!
