I'm considering doing this triathlon as my first Olympic distance event. I have done a couple of sprints and will have done a couple more before the event, can anyone give my any insight into whether this is a good or bad idea. Is this a particularly difficult event? (more so than any other Olympic event I mean).

I race for the enjoyment not as a serious competitor.

    Thanks

First year running, hilly course I believe. Would like to do it myself as I like hilly but its not falling right for me. Will be harder than alot of others I'd imagine but whats the point in only doing pi$$ easy, flat and short olympic distance races?

Just entered the beast online. Will be my first olympic triathlon. Plan on getting my first sprint in before that ;) Better get some hill training and HTFU, it doesn't look easy
