Quite often my sky+ box is not able to give me a tv guide. ie. It wont tell me what the next program is and I cant see what is on other channels. I just get a message saying 'further schedule information is not available' and if I try to use the sky+ function such as pause or rewind, it wont let me do it.

    Any help is badly needed.

try rebooting the box and if this does not work it sounds like your dish is eiher very badly pointed or the box is a dud,

I am getting this regularly enough also. About every two days. A reboot sorts it out, but it's getting annoying now

Do any of you watch E4 Ireland or More 4 Ireland around 7pm in the evening?

I find that if the box is left on these channels (137 or 139) between 7pm - 7.30pm that any of my boxes lose their EPG listings, it only shows current program in the search and scan banner and when you press TV Guide and All Channels the listing are blank too.

I have to reboot to get them back, but I have noticed that if I make sure the boxes are not tuned to E4 Ireland or More 4 Ireland the listing are fine.

I think it has something to do with the time being wrong on that transponder
(11565 V), when you change to one of these channels the time is OK but press select again after about 10 seconds and the time can be out by as much as 8 minutes.

Unfortunately I seem to be having this problem too.

I do often watch those channels Digidec, so you may be onto something.

Here's hoping that's all it is.

    Hi Digidec,

these are exactly the symptoms I am seeing and at the same times! The current time of the box lags by about 10-15 minutes, if i switch channels the time hops forwards and when i go back to E4/More4 the time jumps back and the listings are gone

Performed as software download last night at 19:30 as recommended by my dealer - let's see what happens

    cheers

Best advice is to stay off E4/More4 Ireland for the time being to keep the EPG listings.

I had this issue also today with my PACE Sky+ box. Left it on E4, time was slow/wrong by 9 mins.
After some time, the Now&Next, EPG and Sky+ functions didn't work. Had to reboot the box to get it all working again.

So what do you reckon to my theory?
Looks like there might be something in it.

I now stay off E4/More4 Ireland, I use the FTA versions in other channels or just record and I don't have the problem.

    I'm running a PACE Sky+ box also, the PVR3.

I watched the channels in question last nite and what would you know, she went out again.

mind you, don't SKY have control over the EPG, why would it be messing up on those channels?

Hi, I am having similer issue. For me I noticed it when I tried to view cbbc on my sky + box after 7pm. I now know that it doesnt broadcast after 7pm but if I attempt to open the channel (from other channels) its seems to kill my epg. Only a reboot solves it. Works fine while the channel is broadbcasting but if I try to view a channel thats not broadcasting seem to kill EPG. I will try E4 and more4 ireland later to see if this also causes it for me.

    Any ideas/suggestions welcome.
