Similar position, got a ticket in the lottery. Think my brother is running a plane so hopefully can get on that.. But i am coming from Norway! So maybe Stavanger to Dublin to Cardiff return!

Low cost airplanes are more cheap transportation you can get to go there. I've also tried to find some other alternatives, but I didn't find other better ones...

In 06 I got the Eurolines bus from Dublin. Met up with Tralee bus in Rosslare. www.eurolines.ie

Very long trip but a bit of craic. One thing though, you arrive at Cardiff Gate. This involved a taxi into Cardiff city as its a few miles out. Ferry trip was unbelievable craic as they played Munster semi on a big screen.

Also no need for accommodation as you arrive so late Fri night (Sat morning). We just caught the rest of our sleep in the train station.

There is always good craic on the buses going over, alot easier to get one bus all the way to the gates of the stadium mind :)
Peter B you must have been wrecked by the time you got home!

We're getting an early flight on saturday to london, then the train - if i actually get there in one piece by 5.30 -i'll be well impressed!

If any of you have a metro, read page 4 (bottom RHS corner) - "Supposdly" If you write to Mr O'Leary he'll get on a free flight on friday.... well, thats what it says anyway.....

    Can't wait!

The advice i can give is get the boat from Rosslare to Fishguard and then get the train direct from Fishguard to Cardiff, cheaper way of doing the trip over. Best of luck in the Final :)
