I still got a text from them last Friday evening anyways about the game that evening. It's great game there always a good laugh at the tables, pity it doesn't get the numbers it should, the lads there have put a lot of effort (and money) in.

Did you make it up on Friday night Buzz? Do you know who won?

well i hope you are right. i helped them get up and running in the beginning and would be a shame if it was closed.

will you let me know if you go in and its open

Will do. I plan on going next Friday night as I was going well in the league but haven't made it up in a few weeks so may have slipped back a bit. They are adding €500 min to league final prizepool so hope it's still going!

How recently did you hear that it was closed Mormank?

last weekend in dublin. it was me and the lads from the vic that opened and ran it, for other guys of course. and it was one of these lads that told me when i met them in dublin last weekend at jp poker's event.

I actually never got a text off them Sunday for the sunday night game and I usually would, I'll see tomorrow evening if I get one for the Wednesday night game.

It would be an awful pity if it was closed, but I do find it hard to see how they'd be making money there. The max runners for a tournie would be 20/25, with only one table of 1/2 pl going afterwards. It's really hard to drag people away from the local pubs to play. There's one local self-deal, short blind levels etc pub game on a Tuesday night that gets up to 30 runners and 2 or 3 cash games going afterwards, while on a wednesday night the club run a dealer dealt tournie, with great structure and they'd be lucky to fill a table.
