    howdee folks,

was listening to an interview online with adam franklin of Swervedriver, and while he is mainly a vox ac30 guy, he was on about some of the new vox ac30 re-issues kept dying on him while touring, and he had got his hands on some epiphone tube amps and seemed to rave about how good they were, as in they got him through his tour..

I've never heard anyone go on about these? any good?

What model? Are you talking about something like the SOCAL? If so it looks interesting, but I haven't heard one. Epiphone make good value lower-midrange valve amps, but I haven't heard of them being compared favourably to an AC30.

    Epiphone SoCal

oops. ill have to listen again. i think it was either the so cal or the 30 w combo. he sounded surprised himself that got him through the tour, but he did say he had one vintage vox that doesnt go on the road. he said he was happy with the epiphones, and was joking saying he would plug them!
if you go to the swervedriver site http://www.swervedriver.com/home.asp
and click on the interview link and live set, its part 4 of that interview. i must listen again....
