Glad to see that someone has recognised that it's not just people from SE Dublin that go to the airport (take note Aircoach!).

But it really needs to serve Chapelizod/Ballyfermot :)

about time a service like this came in. a taxi from my gaff in lucan to the airport averages €35 so this'll save me a few bob.:D

i just hope it ends up well patronised and doesn't get canned after 6 months:(

Used this service this morning to get from Clondalkin to the airport. Bus was at the Mill Shopping Centre stop pretty much on time (8:30). Didnt reach the airport until 9:30, 25 mins later than timetabled, due to m50 traffic but if driving or getting a taxi would have been caught in that too.
Have to say i'm pretty impressed though. Was going to have to get a bus into town and out again otherwise. €8 instead of the €35+ for a taxi from clondalkin.
Only 5 people on the bus in all.
Gets the thumbs up from me!

Great service yeah, like Aircoach and most of the other private operators springing up all over the place, legally or illegally. The problem is that they are issued licences from the DoT with no obligation to provide accessible vehicles. Dublin Bus and Bus Eireann are obliged to provide such vehicles and if they don't there's uproar. Bus Eireann have recently started introducing wheelchair accessible long distance coaches too. How much they're being used I don't know but its a step in the right direction at least. I'm not going to start crying unfair playing field because as we know the state sponsored operators are subsidised heavily but all new service operators should be forced to provide these type vehicles, if the privates require subsidy to do this so be it but in a transparent manner. (is there such a thing in this country ?) I'm sure these buses cost more to buy but the 'them and us" situation that exists at the moment has to be done away with. Much like DB being blocked from using the Port Tunnel by another non wheelchair accessible bus operator. The big loser here is the travelling public.

Flybus have recently introduced some new special offer fares. They're doing a "3 Day Weekend Return" ticket for €10 (valid 12h00 noon Fri until Sunday night) and they're doing a "Same Day Family Return" for €20 (2 adults & 2 children) Might be nice for a family day out visiting the Airport!!

They've announced these new fares on their website www.flybus.ie

    Have a great weekend! :)

i see this bus everyday in clondalkin and liffey valley and all kinds of times

seems good.. never packed but never empty either

€8 to the airport certianly beats €30 on a taxi !

    it is very direct too

the square down the belgard road into clondalkin then to liffey valley then straight onto the M50 !

if i ever need going to the airport i'd most likely use this

Flybus is an all-round excellent service, let down only by the ridiculous insistence on getting right up to the Clarion Liffey-Valley`s front door.

If there`s anybody from Flybus management reading this, please go travel on it some morning and watch the waste of time and drivers patience as he attempts to weave in and out through the madly parked cars...plus he has to take a damn ticket...how nutty is that ?

There is plenty of turning space outside the hotels front gate which should be the official stop, rather than the pahlavah which was in force last time I travelled on it.

I would also look again at the Stop on the perimeter of the Square..it`s too close to the Terminus and only encourages further on-road delays,as well as conflict with other Bus routes,Taxi`s and private traffic....Just my 2c worth.

Men, it has been well said, think in herds; it will be seen that they go mad in herds, while they only recover their senses slowly, and one by one.
