    Hey guys,

recently got an Archos 605 wifi for my birthday and noticed that the plugins are priced very differently between the irish site and american. Can i buy from the american site as it works out a good bit cheaper???

I havent registered it yet either.

Unless you register location as the USA it will automatically direct you to the EU shop. Once you register your Archos on the site, you are pretty much stuck to buying from the EU shop. There was a thread on the archosfans.com forum about a chinese ebay reseller that was quite cheap and apparently legit.

Yeah but if i was to register it as USA, that would let me get them for cheaper, but does this then have downsides as regards warrenty etc?

I lost my usb cable to my arhos 605 lately so basically I can't charge it at all. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy a new one in Dublin city or anywhere else?

Peats is probably your best bet, but you might have to get one from their website. Youre better off getting a dock from Peats. The mini dock is something like €30 and charges the device 20 times faster than the USB cable. It also allows you to connect the 605 to your pc, and also output to a tv which is really cool.
For an extra few Euro you can get the battery dock which does the same as the mini dock, but also gives you extended battery life. Well worth it if you are going to use the 605 on long journeys or for extended periods where you cannot charge it.

Thought this dock was closer to €90....

The DVR station is something like €100 (or at least it was when I got it). That has a lot more functionality than the other docks as it allows you to record from tv and schedule programs to record and stuff like that. It is also not very portable, whereas the mini dock and battery dock are small enough to carry around.
