Holiday in Crete?

    A group of friends and I wanna go to crete for the first week in september.

    The five of us are aged 18 - 21

    Anyone know any great places for students in crete?
    Ideally we'd like to rent a villa.

    Anyone got any advice?
    Advice about holidaying in general would also be greatly appreciated.

    Yeah I've been looknig around some sites,
    But I said Id check around for anyone with first hand experience of the place

    Some of the villa's look amazing.

    We were there back in 2000. Stayed about 10 miles outside Heronissos in a fairly issolated place but hung out most night in Heronissos which had a lively night life. Plenty of bars, restaurants and activity there, taxis were cheap and plentiful back then anyway. Outside of the cities however it is very quiet and isolated which is nice to chill out if you get sick of the sight of bars and restaurants every night.

    A good few Irish visit Crete but the Dutch and Germans really love the place. It's their Kilkee. :D
