    Hey,

Won an ipod on ebay, paid, the guy shipped(from London), it's been two weeks now and nothing, I went to my post office multiple times, they haven't heard of anything.

I know it's not a scam on the seller's part cause the guy is communicating, and he'll email me the tracking number.

If any of you had similar problems could you please advise me what to do? Is there anything I can do?

What could have happened? could it have been misdelivered and that person just decided to open and keep it? could one of the mailmen just nicked it?

Similar thing happened to me recently with a camera (got it from dabs though not ebay).

Usually the sender will have to contact the shipping company to claim a refund and will then refund you your money. Its a nusiance but hopefully you'll get your money back soon and you can order another Ipod

If it's insured postage, the sender will be able to file a claim (provided the tracking number doesn't show a succesful delivery).

That's what I'm afraid of, what if the moron of a mailman delivered to somebody else, checked it as "a ok!" and that's it. And that person got a nice free gift of an ipod.

Actually guys there's something seriously fishy about the postal service at the moment..I posted a game to a guy in Dublin on the 24th of April from Galway and it only arrived yesterday..another person sent me a game around the same time and I still haven't got it yet..
    :(

Then the moronic mailman, or his employer, are liable. That's the whole point of registered mail. If he delivered it to the wrong address then its his fault.

Something recently happened to me. Bought stuff off ebay. 3 weeks down the road hadnt received it so contacted the seller. They told me it was delivered and signed for. SUre enough they sent me the "sign page" and there was a different signature on it (but correct name "signed"). As far as the postal service are concerned, the address and name were correct and they got a signaute

Funnily enough there was nobody in the house at the time (I was the only person actually in the country!). Meh, I suppose thats Karma for posting so many letters without stamps! :p

Did you get any kind of refund or anything from the seller?

I really think they should implement personal pin numbers or something, just signing off on someone else's goods and then denying it is so easy.

Get the tracking number and you'll have a good idea of what's going on.

sit tight for another two weeks. sometimes things just get misplaced so they do. im sure if hes got a good seller rating it should be okay!

2 weeks from the UK isn't really over the odds, I know I've waited at least that on occasion.

There's an online buying & auctions forum as well by the way, which is pretty useful.

No doubt you meant to type 'postman' but your finger slipped several times in your attempt.

Now if she only had my ipod too. :(

As for the mailman/postman, who ever it is, I don't care, I just want the parcel.

Moved, since the OP seems so happy with the idea of the forum.

OP: Seriously, give it at least another week.

Perhaps it's time for a Postal & Courier Issues forum...
