I must say Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the latest bunch of accompanying musicians have produced something wonderful with Imperial Wax Solvent. I was unsure what to expect – as one always is with The Fall – the last album was mostly great but a few tracks like Das Boat sounded like half thought out filler, but this album is great, all of it, everything from the weird avant jazz opener, to 50 year old man (complete with banjo) to Mark. E. Smiths beautiful Greek spouse spouting off about watching Six Feet Under at night, to Smith plucking another cover version from 60s obscurity to the big riffs and the catchy numbers like Tommy Shooter. All of it. every last bit.

has anyone heard it yet?
