    been watchin south park for years and have been wondering lately how the hell they get away wit slating and slagging off celebrites??!is the disclaimer they have at the start really enough to stop celebs from sueing? theres obviously some loop hole? the russell crowe episode is one of the funniest ones ive seen!and they have mel gibson throwing his sh/t at people?!while steve irwan has been depicted in hell with a sting ray in his chest?!?!

    What could the sue for? The show is cleverly written as to avoid anything libelous.

    eg

    OJ Simpson "murderer!"

    Tom Cruise "come out of the closet".

    They don't always. In America they can because of the whole free speech thing but as far as I know, they still haven't broadcasted Trapped in the Closet over here.

    They almost get away with it all - but not everything. Following the Danish Mohammad cartoon controversy, the show tried to depict Mohammad in one of their episodes. They weren't allowed, even though they just wanted to show him handing a helmet over. Instead they made do with showing Jesus defecating over the American flag....
