has season 5 started on tg4 yet...just finished watchin season 4 on download but cant find any info on net about season 5.

if not when is tg4 scheduled to start season 5.

Well I've been wrong before so perhaps I shouldn't answer this .

However when The Wire was discussed on RTE's "The View" program a few months back they mentioned that Season 5 would be shown on TG4 in the summer.

just watched S1-S4 and im about to start Season five but was wondering does S5 have less episodes (10) but they are longer (the file sizes seem to be more than the average 350mb)?

The wire is like a book, you can't judge the story by the first few pages, it's a show about institutions, hierarchies, life, modern society, why some fall through the cracks, and how bad people sometimes fail upwards, it's basically about why western society is crumbling around us as the result of personal greed in a world of imperfect man made systems, be they in the form of the police force, the civil service, a dockers union, a public school system, a street level drug market, or a medium city newspaper...


...but it's disguised as a cop show.

I have just watched all of Seroes 5 of the wire on the internet

The dvd will be available to buy by the end of september as per amazon's website this year

what an ending another great us drama ends

only mad men the only decent us drama around

don't need to watch tg4 for the 5th series of the wire

I emailed TG4 recently and they replied that the 5th season will be starting on Monday 28th July.

got an email from tg4 -

The fifth series is starting on Monday the 28th July at 10.30pm with a repeat on Saturday at 11.45pm.
