    Hi guys!!

Anybody taking part in this year's TriAthlone? This is my first time attempting a triathlon so it should be a good / painful experience!!:) Anybody have any experience of the course or the festival around it?

    Thanks!

Did it last year, the swim was probably one of the hardest i did all year, a huge current on the shannon that day, ppl were swimming for 5 minutes and only getting 1 meter!! But don't worry i think the swim course is changed for this year.
The bike is easy and the run is great around the town, lots of support, but again i think they have changed it from last year. It's a nice race, don't know if i will be doing it this year. Best of luck.

Doing it myself for the first time this year. I'm doing tri-athy as my first ever triathlon, supposed to be quite handy, swimming with the current and all cycling and running on the flat. Have done some duathlons this year but getting into the freezing water:eek: is going to make some difference!!

Try u-tube to have a look at last years event, looks excellent, I'll be making a day out of it, staying over in the Raddison and have a few tasty Guinness post race!!
