Nice colour alright and a great car but wouldnt really compare it to an M3! First off:

    -Less Power
    -No Back Seats
    -Looks a bit clumsy
-Nissan Badge (if that sort of thing bothers you)

Its not as good as an all rounder as an M3 is but definitely a cracking car!

    Stick with the M3.

    Far nicer car.

ah yeah, the m3 is a better car, but when i was buying it, it was between a 350z and the m3, and ive always liked the 350z

love the looks personally esp with those wheels :) its a rare enough site on our roads too!

Yep, have to agree, the M3 is in a completely different league.

Swapping an M3 for a 350Z.....thats like kicking Cameron Diaz out of the bed for Anne Dolye:D

The only people who thing like that are badge snobs and fellas who have driven neither car!

The 350z wouldnt be a million miles away performance wise from an m3, and its much more striking looking and less common on the roads. I certainly wouldnt turn my nose up at one.

Over all the M3 is a better car. (E46 talking about here). Better engine, and would probably cope with the day-to-day roads with a bit less harshness.
However, the 350Z looks like a proper sports car and is certainly no "Anne Doyle" in the performance department either. (Poor Anne, she could be great in the sack for all we know! :D)
Only snobs worry about a badge, not car enthusiasts.

I used to have an 04 350Z and yeah its a fantastic motor, but to sound like a broken record the M3 is a step above

Speaking of gee, the 350Z might just have the edge when it comes to attracting it.:p

That seems very expensive. You can get the same car for around €15,000 in england. Is the VRT really €20k on a car like that?

love to see a link for a 04 350z with under 20000 miles for €15k pls

I'd much prefer to own the 350Z - even just for the looks ..its way better looking than an M3 , and a far rarer sight on Irish roads.

Also consider a jap import they may be a cheaper option

Why new tyres on a car with 2400miles ? Btw I think they look like a proper sports car and I've read that they are a great drive too. The M3 is a lovely car to drive but looks wise , I'm not too sure. That white
350Z looks like something that the muppet motor brigade might drive.(ie. someone that graduates from a civic ).

+1 on the Z over the M3 - not that there's anything wrong with an M3 (if I had to have a 3 series, it'd be that.......), but with the Nissan......

    it's rarer
    it's more unique..........wont' confuse with a 1.9 anything.......
    sounds fab
arguably, might hold it's value ...........now that Gormless has fubar'd the VRT after July 1.....
    it'll be reliable.....more than a Bee Emm, I'd wager......

I quite like the 350z - but I could never live with the sea of cheap plastic on the interior.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,475 ✭✭✭✭Cyrus

anyway, im not gonna be chopping the m3 for one, but i do like them.

agree with you on the interior ken, the germans are streets ahead of everyone else on that front

dont quite agree, it has, what as a 04 60 bhp to make up and they are both n/a so without a sports exhaust and a supercharger you wont be making more power than an m3, then you could s/c the m3 :D

that said both are fast enough!

Perhaps they were still the original tyres that would have been 4 years old, I can only assume that the rubber could have stiffened and possibly would perish easily? Just a guess.
