From what I've heard (I have a friend who got into Psychology from arts, I'm doing it directly), some people get in with Cs, but to be safe you'd probably be wanting Bs/As

and for those who have done this course how hard is it to get a b or an A?becausei would be pinning everything on getting into psychology and dont want to get lumbered with a ba i have no interest in?

is pretty hard ot get As and Bs in first year psych - especially as there is competition to get into 2nd year so some mega smart people pull the standard up for everyone.
unless youre getting the top grades youd have to be prepared to do your two arts subjects.

Go to all your lectures, go to all your tutorials, do all your assignments to the best of your ability.

Then your gauranteed to get A's, especially in first year, this goes for any course no matter how difficult.Education is about putting in the work, mostly, rather than how much ability you have, it would be about ability if everyone put in the work but they don't about 10% do.

It's like trying to run in the olympic marathon without doing any training, no matter what your potential is, your going to lose.

There's no point in getting over-awed by things or reaching too far and imagining that you have to do 6 hours a day of extra material. All you have to do is make a solid effort, do your homework and when your doing it actually put all your concentration into it.Thats like less than 2 hours a day of hard work.

Sometimes people just make things so complicated and create phantom boundaries.

Tbh I wouldn't go for this without having at least a slight interest in your other two subjects, I know people that are kicking themselves over it now because they're not sure whether they'll get into 2nd year, and plan on just dropping out if they don't. No point getting like that and wasting a year either, y'know?

Do double mathsphysics, which is first and second year basically and psychology, you get a decent degree either way.........at least I hope it is.......probably not though or economics.....not anthropology though!Unless your already very keen and your going to be the best in the class or something.

Sure there's loads of choices with arts.

585 what? It has nothing to do with your LC results...

You'll prob need firsts in all your 1st year modules... which is over 70%...

I assume she means 585 out of 1000 marks in first year psych. Which you COULD get in with, i'd say. I'm not too sure though. Best bet would be to send Brian an email and ask him what he expects the results needed will be?
