Okay, here's one from the weekend for C&C. The sunshine was superb and the light patterns in this field were great. Real summer feel to it.

What I was trying to show was how bloody big this field was and the vibrant yellow colour in an interesting composition. I think the composition could have been improved. I think it's missing a focal point. But any suggestions on how I could have done better in terms of composition or anything else are greatly appreciated. Tks in advance folks!

I would have raised myself a bit to show a greater swathe of the field - like you said you want to show how big the thing is.

Also a cliched but effective focal point would be to have someone standing in the field - back towards the camera and hands running over the top of the plants sort of of shot (that's if the farmer allows people onto their field!)

Or else go for DOF - zoom in and show someone/thing completely surrounded by these yellow flowers - that will give a sense of envelopment/scale too.

But right now, it's already a pretty image. :)
