I have a nice standard rose which has lots of admirers! Anyone know how I can grow news ones from it? I regularly prune long branches from it and have rooted them, but I don't know how to start the 3'ish "trunk".

I've googled it, briefly, but theres not alot in non-gardener speak.

the rose has to be grafted on to root stock, prof. job if you know a gardener it can be done, but only in winter time me thinks
