    Hi,

Just wondering does anyone have any recomendations on whats good for a
1st bike. Was thinking a hornet or a bandit but have recently got into the idea of a sports bike but am wondering will I just fall off the thing. Anyone any comments on a bike that would make the best sense?

    Thanks.

I think a lot of it will have to do with what height you are. Best thing might be to go to a big bike dealer and pick out a few you like, then have a sit on them and see which ones feel comfortable and take it from there.

I'd imagine bikes with a more upright seating position (street bikes, cruisers etc) would be easier to learn on then 'racing tuck' type bikes - but its only a guestimation, ive actually never riden one... :o

Height, as mentioned, is a definate consideration also

Thanks for the advise. I reckon the hornet or bandit sound best. Ill have to get a restricted one though as ill be provisional. Def want to get something a decent size as im 6ft. My mate is a big lad and have and 80cc sports bike and it looked like he borrowed a kids bmx so id like to avoid that look. hopefully ill find a good bargain.
