    Hi,

Does anybody have any experience with media device centres that can play movies (xvid dvdrips) from a network share on a PC?.

Sorry I hope this is the forum that closest to my question.

    Cheers,

I do exactly this using my mythtv box in the living room. This is a small mini-itx based PC running Linux that plays back movies on the TV using xine. Works great for me.

BTW, the 'HTPC & Media Centre' forum might be a better place for this question

    This is what you want!

They have a TB as well which you can source for about €300 and its wireless.

I modified my old Xbox and turned it into as media centre.
You can stream downloads to it and it will also play DVDs.
There is loads of S/W available for it.
Emulators for playing the old C64 and SNES :Dgames
