Wierd problem in iTunes when trying to define an artist

    So I right click-->get info and type the artist's name into the "Artist" window but it doesn't alter or save any of the input. It only seems to happen for one particular album about which there is nothing special. Anyone?

    EDIT: Right, I just tried to specify a load of tracks from the same artist and only chunks of them were changed to the artist's name. On top of that I seem to be unable to transfer anything onto my iPod (I drag and drop the files but nothing happens). Why is iTunes being so gay all of a sudden?

    See if there's anything under "Album Artist" that's different between the tracks.

    As for the drag-and-drop part, do you have "manually manage songs" selected in the ipod window?

    Maybe the files are read only. Where did they come from?
