    Hi All,

@ from all i;ve read and not very practical as a skirmish piece, i can see it being legal but not off much use i always imagined these things like the nerf launchers :)

Nerf eh, pity had a nice plan for one of these. Bunker Buster using 6mm paint bb's. Could you send me on a link to info on same?

yep that the cartridge, you can also simple you a normal shower cartridge with a foam ball down the barrel seen that in a few places , the flight dynamics are a bit off thought :) i do not fancy people shotting solid rubber slugs like that at me thought :P

still i would not like to see them being used its still a large lump of something being hit in the chest/leg is very different to getting this in the temple or the fingers :) just my view

suppose it all comes down to the hardness of the rubber and how hard it actually hits you

The rpg-7 is a pretty over the top one.

And from what I heard a rubber slug can smash a plastic gbb on someones hip at close range, now that is second hand information but they do pack a good bit of energy.

Second hand from whom? Given I've been using one of these for a while now I'd like that proven if it's going to be thrown out there as so-called information from someone who's never actually seen one. Given that I'm the only one on these forums who has one (and was the only one who'd seen one until Monday at HRTA) I'm making a fairly safe bet that you don't know anything about them.

Those slug rounds fly pretty far and have a fair bit of a bang when they're fired but the power off them isn't huge. As was mentioned, I've been hit with them from close range, you feel it, but no more than you'd feel a bb strike from close in. The slug isn't solid.

I read it on Arnies, I'm not digging up the link.

Lets not get into the muzzle energy one produces shall we.

Oh and I don't need to have seen or been shot with one to do basic physics calculations on mass and velocity, regardless if it doesn't hurt, is incapable of breaking a gbb etc.

Lol at how clueless this statement is.

Try an attitude adjustment, your whole reply was condescending, Id prefer to remain civil.

Dex owns, uses, and has been hit by one under the circumstances you mention. It's understandable that he wouldn't want wildly inaccurate statements regarding the power of the piece becoming the stuff of airsoft urban legend. Like the one about the good looking Glock.......
Anyway, you might want to bear that in mind is all......

I was clear that it was second hand information, I did not take major issue with that.
I found it an excessively crude and condescending post though, that combined with a few of the things I do know about the object in question having researched it pissed me off.
It was aggressive and short sighted, at the end of the day breaking a pistol with a solid rubber slug was documented by a chap on arnies, which I mentioned as second hand info and left it at that.
It was a casual discussion and I mentioned what I had read.

All I want is a civil discussion and to avoid the need to point out the very large elephant in the room I have been avoiding.

A little more respectful response and I would have reacted much differently.
