ok odd question but does anyone know that music style that consists of men chanting its hard to describe but really sounds like the kind of music youd find in monasterys with many men singing in unison Sounds like latin if anyone could tell me the music style Id be very grateful

You can pretty much start here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_chant and then work your way around...enjoy!
