There was a big crack out of my system, booted in safe mode on its own, I plugged it out, restarted normally and all was ok, any ideas ?

I've heard of NoSmoke.com, but do "big cracks" really show up in event viewer...?

    LOL

Yup, it changes your desktop to a picture of the grand canyon in Windows Vista. It's not compatable with Windows XP :D

Seriously though, big crack usually (in my experience) comes from the PSU. If you're still working normally that would be unusual, I'd check the PSU to be sure.

Hmm i would imagine this more a physical fault than something event viewer would catch unless windows getting really smart. Probably the PSU or a capacitor exploded somewhere, one that might not be of use - on some card maybe that you havn't discovered yet - Id open it up and look for black spots :)
