Sad day for F1 , you couldn't but like Super Aguri. It's a pity to lose Sato too

    That's a pity.
If they could have survived this year, then with the further cost-cutting changes due to take effect next year and the aero changes, they might have been able to give the bigger teams a bit of a fight, at the start of the season anyhow.

It's a pity that they did go under, the financial pressures in F1 in this era has already seen teams fall by the wayside. Ligier then Prost, Minardi and of course our very own countryman's team Jordan. Bernie and Co. are the ones to blame for all this. There should be something put in place to regulate or support the smaller teams in the event of financial difficulty,. It can easily happen to the top teams as there is a fine line between success and failure.

The cost cutting measures in the coming seasons wouldn't really have benefitted Super Aguri as they would have to become a proper constructor in 2009. It is unlikely that they would have set up a factory ...

If Torro Rosso have the same difficulty finding an investor it looks like F1 could be down to 9 teams for '09.

Yeah its an awful shame Davidson has lost his chance at a proper drive and Sato - Was at Silverstone a couple of years ago and it has to be said Sato was one of the nicest drivers there - couldn't sign enough autographs for the kids - And it'll never change - Bernie & Co have sat by and watched em all go the same way - Jordan, Mindardi etc - I wonder will Torro Rosso follow the same route....

Yea have to say i am a bit of a Sato fan.. Who's to say we won't see him back again.. Maybe in a Renault replacing Piquet Junior or more likely in a Honda replacing Rubens
