    52FUNK Presents

    CALVIN JAMES ( SPANK OFFICE)
    DOUG COONEY (HANG TOUGH)
    DEASUN F ( MANCUNIA)

    Saturday May 10
Kennedy's, Westland Row (Beside back gates of Trinity), Dublin 2

    Doors 11pm
    7€ before midnight/10€ after

Calvin James wowed punters at the first Electric Picnic with one of his legendary 3 deck sets, before decamping for Barcelona to run a night with Funk D'Void. He recently returned to the capital to launch 'Spank Office' in 4 Dame Lane and we're expecting him to wow the 52FUNK faithful tonight with a set of pure dancefloor badness. Bad meaning good of course, in that vaguely street cred kind of way.

Bringing up the rear are Hang Tough's Doug Cooney and the legendary Manchester based man of records Deasun F...Deasun F was a huge early influence on DownTownSounds, with his epic ‘Patrick Corridon Presents The Long Puck’ mix becoming almost a blueprint for the DTS music policy over the years. Now happily settled in Manchester, this is the first time we’ve had him down to play for us and to say we’re excited is a little bit of an understatement. Doug Cooney is a resident for our kindred spirits Hang Tough, and his sets at local nights like Automated and Press Play have caught our ears with their mix of funk-fuelled techno and spaced out italo-disco. Between them they should have the place rocking for Mr James to take them all the way home…

More details, mixes etc to follow...
