Golf in Spain/Portugal/Italy

Hi,

I'm trying to organise a week away for myself and about 15 others. We're looking for some nice weather and most importantly some good golf.

Has anyone had good or bad experiences and any recommendations??

There was a topic on this a few weeks back.

I've been to France, Spain & Portugal golfing. Personally, I if it's ye're first golf trip I would say you should go for Portugal. If you stay in Vilamoura theres free shuttle buses to the local golf courses and plenty of restaurants & bars for later on.

Yeh, we've been there and it is excellent for any group looking for a place to go.
I'll have a look back for the older thread.

I'd have Lisbon/Estoril area over Vilamoura any day of the week.

Courses far superior per €, no-one shunting you around, and the bars and restaurants are great.

We'd stayed here http://www.quintadamarinha.com/pages/golf/ and yes it is as nice as it says on the tin.
