Anyone know or have info what GBB Rifles are currently available?
    (or upcoming ones)
I cant do a proper google in work cos of the surfwatch.
(Arnies airsoft it blocked in work :-( )

There is at least 2 M4 alikes and an AK alike out there.
One is C02 which would probably go over the Limit dunno about the other.

I want a GBB rifle. Something where you can pull back a cocking lever,
Look into the chamber, and actually see the piston or artificial/cosmetic bolt
moving back and forth when its firing.

Pistols are cool cos you see the slide moving and the SMG's are nice
but I want something full length.

The Army L85 AEG is pretty cool as its got a blowback feature but
its just not the same when its electric. The sound of a Gas operated
    Airsoft product is more appealing.

[EDIT: Crikey. Wish for something and Shiva grants it!!!]

Well there's the new WA M4 which came out just recently, was tempted by it myself but the gas mags seem to suffer a bit of cool down so that kind of put me off, and then also none of the retailers actually have extra mags yet, so at the moment I dont think it's a skirmishable gun.

The co2 powered rifles can be made to fire under 1 Joule if they run on an external co2 rig as the external rigs have a regulator. However if they run on internal co2 (i.e. small capsules) then normally the pressure is not adjustable.

Who makes the AK that you mentioned?

    Recently in production:

Plum Project: M4 variants (modded SP/ Systema hybrids)
K2 Customs: M4 variants (possibly JAC based)
LA Studio: M4 and AK versions
Escort: MP5 series, M60 series, AK series, HK416, one off customs. All externally powered.
Sun Project: Escort based M16 variants. Externally Powered.
    Tanio Koba: M4 C8 & AK74SU
Shoei: MG42 & MP44 (Escort based). Externally powered

Alot can be added to this list if one were to include classic's.

I cant remember where I saw a snippet of info was full sure
I stumbled across on while viewing you tube one night while drunk.

There was someone posting here recently that mentioned a Gas Powered AK
didnt they? I think it was on some thread where they said their friend had one
that may have been Hot and they were wondering what to do.

Good list, problem is most (if not all) of them are next to impossible to get your hands on or cost thousands.

Classics would be the thing to look at possibly, classicairsoft.net has a classifieds section, but I'm not sure if the bolt etc. operates on them.

There are gbb m1 garands and m1 carbines that I know of off hand on wgc.

Edit: The m1 carbine and garand are on wgc.
Bar that register on classicairsoft.net and ask there, they dont just use classics, and often have spare gear, I was looking for a rare gbb smg for a while there.

AFAIK, the M60 series are all built into Inokatsu kits so .... theres a rough idea of a starting price for anyone who is interested.

I got to use the M2 carbine the other day and it deeply impressed me. The feel of it (walnut body, great quality), the strength of the action, the noise it made all left me trying to justify getting one. The sights were beautiful to look through too.
When I watched someone else firing it, a few minutes later, it impressed me even more. Seeing it in action and hearing the lovely "thud" noise it made was almost as good as using it. WW2 loadout, here I come.

Now there's an idea for a GBB .... thompson or sten GBB. Would make those QCB moments far more interesting!

I'm still holding out for a GBB Bren Gun (because I'm sick in the head really)

Yeah I've been waiting for a sten for a long time now. The second I see one I'm gonna be on it like white on rice. Preferably one that will have that distinctive chattering noise and a nice exposed bolt spring.

    I thought I saw a sten before...

Who is the crowd that do all the bren mkIII's?

Maybe I'm imagining it, anyway, an airsoft sten would be pretty tough to do, for a start it would be tough to fit a mechbox in it, its a tube, doesn't even have a handle.
Maybe an aep box could fit, or a p90 one, but god damn it would be hard to have an exposed spring as mentioned above.
It would be pretty cool if it was gbb though :D

Edit: well the mkV is available, but its not the cool looking one, theres a cap firer of the earlier model shown too, http://www.wwiiguns.com/store/product_catalog.php?c=52

Well, you can get Mk.V and Mk.VI Sten's as AEGs, just not seen a GBB yet.

Yeah but while I can put up with my regular skirmishing rifles being aeg's, I'd like any WW2 ones I get to be GBB as I'd be more likely to get them either as part of a genuine loadout or to use as props. Either way, the recoil would be something I'd want.
