Spent Friday and Saturday at the Badminton Horse Trials, working for a magazine and also freelance. Good weekend met a lot of other Photographers and the action was excellent. For those who dont know the event takes place over three days and combines Dressage, Cross Country and Showjumping. Very tough on both rider and horse. Here are some of the shots that I have gone through so far, I shot raw for the most part (thinking of sponsors and advertisers) and used a Canon 1dmk3 and a Sigma 120-300 f2.8 with a 5d and 70-200 f2.8IS as backup.

Overall Winner Nicolas Touzaint from France

Some stunning shots. I watched some of it yesterday on TV. Some interesting spills at the water.

    Well done.

Great shots, would love to shoot something like this, is there any cross country events coming uo near Dublin.

Saw a feature on TV on one of the news programs about how dangerous and the amount of fatalities in this sport.

Access will be quite close anyway without press passes so no worries there :)
