Leather Couch from Argos

    Hi All,

I'm currently furnishing an apartment and have been looking for a leather suite. The suites in Argos look like really good value, even to the point of offering a buy one get one free! This is one that I've been looking at as an example:

The only problem is that you obviously cant go and sit on the couches to try them out so it seems like you're taking a bit of a punt on it!! My question is has anyone actually bought a couch from Argos and if so what did you think of it? If anyone's bought the one above it would be great to get an opinion on it!

    Thanks Guys,

    R.

I bought a leather recliner with footstool from Argos about 6 months ago. It is super and much cheaper than I found elsewhere. Very comfortable and well made (from Italy).

I also bought a futon ages ago - frame was well constructed, I just find futon mattresses very hard. But from the quality point of view it was fine.

I think they have a policy of being able to return things if they are not suitable - with furniture you might have to pay a bit for this, but their prices are so competitive it is probably worth the gamble.

    Good luck.

Do you have a link to it and does it come in black? Thanks

Is that offer still on? Says pro cleaning only, is that expensive? Thanks

Sorry no link to the chair I bought. Just checked the latest Argos catalogue and it seems to be discontinued.

    Hey,

Thanks for the feedback...looked into their returns policy and it seems fairly watertight. The prices are very competitive....now just need to decide which one looks best in the catalogue....and if I'm willing to give it a go!

    Regards,

    R.

I bought one from Argos (not a leather one) and am very happy with it. One thing to make sure is that the measurements are suitable including the seat backs. Some of them are actually a lot lower than you'd notice from the photos in the catalogue!
