More ubuntu questions from me :D

I've installed it, i can access the interweb, but i wanted to be able to use the funky Desktop Cube thing i've seen... I went and added the Compiz thing, it's kinda working but for some reason i am unable to create more than 1 workspace down in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.

I have it set for 4 columns and 1 row of workspaces to be available, i can see them, but i can only use workspace 1, the other 3 are greyed out and i can't access them... Am i missing something obvious?

Sorry about this, but i'm pretty new to this.. :o

Post here, its a very busy place, You'll have an answer in less than 5 mins.

The Ubuntu forum is a great community, always willing to help n00bs, no matter how basic or even stupid the question, none of the sniggering you sometimes get on here. They treat n00bs as n00bs with straightforward basic answers and are delighted to help new converters from windows.
