Me and NeoSlicerZ are going to Dublin for a poker weekend on the 23-25th May, and was wondering if anyone has a spare couch or bed or whatever for that weekend... we could pay a small fee? :)

For the op, if you are down playing a €1k tournament shelling out €60 - €80 per night on a room makes sense. Turning up every day rested after a proper nights sleep, showered, properly fed and watered gives you the best chance of playing good focused poker. Not sleeping properly is a recipe for playing bad and making mental errors when you are playing 8 - 10 hrs a day. There is little value to saving a few quid to crash on a couch / floor. And if the expenses are such a concern you maybe shouldn't be playing the tournament in the first place. Good luck.[/QUOTE].

DKING, you won't need a hotel room for the 24th! I didn't book one anyway.

Do you know the story about the tree stump in the DMZ? Had a big talk on it a few months back. Fascinating as to how thick the Yankee Military really are.
