Hey, so based on the advice of niallb here I went and installed Ubuntu using Wubi... Install went fine, everything seems to be working grand in Ubuntu, except i cannot connect to my wireless internet... I click on the networks thing up on the top, it can see the network, but when i click on it (my network that is) it asks for a key. I enter the WEP key (which i got from my router's setup page) but it will not work, it tries to connect but after maybe a minute or so the same box pops up (asking for a key).

Very annoying this, I need to be able to use the interweb... Any ideas?

Try clicking "Connect to other Wireless network" and manually add the SSID, click WEP (or whatever encryption) and your encryption key. I'm using Hardy and like You, I cant click on the network and connect, I've gotta do this everytime I boot till I find a solution. Didn't have this prob with Gutsy.

When I first boot I've also gotta right click the network icon, then click "Edit Wireless Networks" and remove the network, It wont connect by default. Then do the procedure above.

Its buggin the shít outa me, but I know how to get it to work. I connect everytime when I do it as above.

Ok, got it working... I was entering WEP 128 bit passphrase key as wireless security, when i should have been going with WEP 64/128 bit Hex. :o

Fixed now, using Ubuntu right now to post this... \o/

Odd, I had to do it first time round, but then it remembers the settings, so haven't had to do it since...
