HTC TyTn II on 3pay - Some Questions

I'm in the market for a new phone (my W850i is a bit dated now) and I'm considering getting this phone having seen reviews on YouTube and read many reviews - all extremely positive.

From my understanding, the HTC is unlocked by default, so if I was to buy this phone off eBay (where the cheapest I've seen it for is ~€480), it's just a matter of taking the SIM Card out of the W850i and putting it into the HTC?

Secondly, there's the question of network settings. I know 3 have been quite restrictive over data access on their 3pay service but I've had no problems running any apps for the past year (Opera Mini and Gmail being the main two). Are there any known issues/restrictions in place which would cripple the features of this phone on 3pay?

Finally, as I have my mind pretty much set on this phone, does anyone know the cheapest place to buy it? I don't want to have to sacrifice a holiday for it, but I do really want this phone :).
